New pricing for Joomla Services

Joomla ServicesThe Webtool is pleased to announce new (lower) pricing for the most popular Joomla technical support requests.

We have been wanting to try a different commercial open-source support model for some time. So, in honor of our 20th year in the IT business (LCMI, MCS, and now The Webtool), we are going to just throw caution to the wind and lower the pricing for the entire month of October.

We studied our CMS support tickets for the past 4 years (Mambo/Joomla/Drupal) and looked hard at ways to cut the time spent on each service without cutting quality. A streamlined process, a bit of automation, a few templates, some new rules and limitations..and we are ready to start!

We promise to be flexible with our time limits and in return we ask you to be reasonable with your requests. Ask for what you need, of course.

Take a look at the Joomla Services and pricing , and the details for each service.
Then email our support desk with questions or to request an invoice for service.

We welcome feedback!

These Joomla services and prices are available for the month of October 2007, Joomla 1.0.x series only, and must be pre-paid. One Joomla site per service. We reserve the right to limit the number of clients per service - if necessary.

What about Drupal?

I don't see your Drupal services listed anywhere. Do you have provide technical support for Drupal?

Yes, we provide technical support for Drupal - but it is not listed on the website here. Drupal support is currently limited to a few existing clients. We just don't know Drupal well enough to open up technical support to all yet.
Joomla 1.5?

I am making my new site with Joomla 1.5. It's a huge improvement over 1.13. Why don't you support it?
Joomla 1.5?

Peter,

We DO support Joomla 1.5...and we agree that it rocks! The October specials rates are for Joomla 1.0 series only - 1.5 service is available at the regular $60 per hour/billed in 15 minute increments. Why? Joomla 1.5 is not stable (close but not there yet). We use it for some of our own sites - we recommend it highly.

Looking good. I am curious to see how this site will come along. Very promising. Henrik

Thank You!

I just want to say thank you - this was perfect timing for me. A flat rate and I got my issues resolved and intranet turned over to the client on Friday. I went to the beach yesterday to relax! Please offer this again next month. I have 2 potential problem Joomla sites and I may need technical support again.
You're welcome!

Ricardo,

Glad you took advantage of the flat rate. It's a one-month experiment though, sorry. I was hoping that there was more of a mass market for commercial-grade Joomla Technical Support. We already offer support to our clients at our regular hourly rate, we did not need to change the model. I just really, really, really wanted to . With a few exceptions such as yourself, our own current clients took advantage of the sale. Investors and colleagues have been telling me for 2 years that there is no sustainable business model for broad paid technical support for open source software. That you service corporations at full rate or develop add-ons and templates. That the OS communities won't be supportive. I want to prove them wrong. Any ideas?
